Dr. Chow Yat is the Executive Medical Director at Bupa Hong Kong, where he leads clinical
governance, compliance, government and healthcare sector relations and corporate strategic
development.

In 2016, Dr. Chow joined Quality HealthCare, a member of the Bupa group of companies in Hong Kong. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the infection control initiative from procurement of personal protective equipment, updating infection control measures to screening of COVID-19. He was also involved in various discussions with the HKSAR government on COVID-19 screening and population vaccination programs. His contribution is recognised that he is included in Hong Kong’s 2022 Honours List of the HKSAR Government.
Prior to joining Bupa Hong Kong, Dr. Chow held senior roles within the Hospital Authority, including Deputy Service Director (Quality & Safety) for the Kowloon West Cluster. His responsibilities encompassed clinical effectiveness, patient safety, risk management, infection control, emergency and contingency planning.
Dr. Chow is a Specialist in Psychiatry and was appointed as the Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong, reflecting his ongoing contributions to medical education and research in Hong Kong.
